Texas Restaurant Association

Texas Restaurant Association President Ralph Sheffield will speak to Galveston restaurant operators at a dinner meeting on Tuesday, January 21.  He will explain how TRA has achieved major savings for the foodservice industry and how the association is creating "opportunities for success in these challenging times".

Sheffield said he supports the initiatives of local restaurant owners and operators who are raising awareness of the foodservice industry and the benefits of the restaurant association.

"If someone joins TRA it's typically for a program offered, but if people really get involved they can find out how all of TRA's programs can help their restaurant and business grow," says Sheffield.

The dinner, hosted by the Galveston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association, will be at Brothers Petronella, 2301 Strand, Galveston Island and begins with a reception at 6 p.m.  There will also be a raffle to benefit the TRA Strike Fund.

Dinner tickets are $20 per person and include a three-course meal with wine service.  Call (409) 744-1500 extension 2105 to make reservations no later than Monday, January 20.  Visit
