Galveston County Health Fair and Fun Run 

The Ninth Annual Galveston County Health Fair 5k Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 8, on the Galveston Seawall.  The event is organized by University of Texas Medical Branch students.

Registration is $20 before February 24 and $25 on race day. Participants who are 65 years of age and older can register for free. The first 100 people to register will receive a free T-shirt, and all participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a free chair massage, courtesy of Spa San Luis.

The starting line will be on the Seawall at 45th Street. Parking and registration will take place in the Academy Sports and Outdoors parking lot.

The event will feature the Champion Chip Timing System, in which computer chips assigned to each participant are used to determine official times and finish order. 

After the race, participants are invited to attend the Ninth Annual Galveston County Health Fair in the parking lot.

The health fair will include a variety of children's activities, health information booths, live entertainment and door prizes.
