Texas State Representative-elect Larry Taylor will be sworn into office on Tuesday, with a busload of Galveston and Harris County residents on hand to observe the ceremony.

"The governor has already made two emergency assignments for us, homeowners insurance and medical malpractice," Taylor noted in an interview with Guidry News Service.  "We will be dealing with those first thing."

Taylor said the budget also will be a major issue to be addressed by the legislature. 

"We've also got tort reform, which affects a lot of different areas, not just medical tort reform" he noted.  "We will be working on lawsuit abuse."

Taylor says he will establish an email communications system to stay in touch with his constituents.
