Texas Legislature

Friendswood resident Larry Taylor was sworn in as the new Texas State Representative for District 24 on Tuesday, the opening day of the 78th Legislative Session.  In addition to his family and friends, supporters on hand for the ceremony included Friendswood Mayor Harold Whitaker, Friendswood City Manager Ron Cox, Galveston County Commissioner Ken Clark and members of Leadership Friendswood.

"I am touched by how many people that have taken out time from their busy lives and schedules to come see this," Taylor said about those who traveled to Austin for the event.  "I can't wait to go to work for them."
