The Board of Advisors of the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement Foundation elected Neil Armstrong as the 2004 winner of the National Space Trophy, “For his most significant contributions to the U.S. Space Program as the first explorer to land a manned spacecraft on the Moon and the first human to step on the surface of the Moon," on Thursday March 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston. Miles O'Brien of CNN TV News will be the master of ceremonies at the event, which also will feature the Clear Lake High School Army JROTC Color Guard in a presentation of the colors.
