Tom Brown has announced that he is withdrawing from the District 6 city council race in Galveston.  

"Recent changes in the internal method of operations at The WorkSource has resulted in the job becoming very demanding of my time during the 'regular' work week and is not allowing me the flexibility I need to adequately run for office," Brown said.  "Additionally, it has become clear that I am not going to be able to dedicate the time necessary to fill the position effectively."
