Splash Day in Galveston

The Galveston Park Board of Trustees is promoting "Splash Day," which it describes as "an exciting gay-lesbian celebration," at East Beach on Sunday, May 2.

This year, the festivities will relocate from Stewart Beach, which promotes a non-alcohol/family environment, to East Beach.

"Splash Day offers live-music, drinking, dancing, sand relay races, swim suit competitions and is extremely popular throughout the gay and lesbian community," said the park board news release.
