19th annual Athena Award sponsored by Mike Smith Autoplaza
and
the
Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce which
recognizes
the
achievement of women in business and
the
professions was awarded to MaurineGray,
Director of Community Services for the City
of Beaumont. Claudie Hawkins, who received
the
award in 2004, made
the
presentation.
Gerald
Condon presented this year’s awards
for the Dr. Robert Swerdlow Small Business
Person of the Year Award. The winner
in the retail category was Guy Crabtree,
Crabtree Barricade.

named Ambassador of
the
Year.

Volunteer of

Year award was presented to Paula Bothe,
President of Four Alarm Productions. Her
award was presented by Chairman Joe Domino
in recognition of her outstanding service.
