At approximately 10:30 am this date, an industrial accident occurred at the construction site of the Ocean Grove Condominiums located at 9420 Seawall Boulevard. 

An employee of JCR Crane Inc. was dismantling the boom of a crane, when a section of the boom fell on the worker crushing him to death.  The worker was pronounced dead on the scene by the Galveston County Medical Examiners Office.  The worker age 40, whose name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, was a resident of Hockley, Texas.
