 Palisade
Palms, the club-class, high-rise beachfront condominium project
on Galveston’s East Beach, will be expanding construction in
one of its two towers to include five additional floors, adding
36 residences, to keep up with unprecedented public
demand.
The
project will now total 288 units, with a total value of
approximately $165 million. Palisade Palms, which is being
developed by the Houston-based Falcon Group, will consist of two
contemporary curvilinear towers, with 27 stories apiece.
Each
tower will have a unique radial design that will provide the
condominiums with panoramic views over the Gulf of Mexico and
Galveston Bay. Pre-construction prices range from $310,000 to
$1.5 million, with the project commencing construction in spring
2005. "We're very pleased with the demand we're
seeing for Palisade Palms," said Richard G. Anderson, vice
president of development for the Houston-based Falcon Group.
"This is an exciting, distinct project that will be an
outstanding signature community for the Gulf
Coast."
Palisade Palms is the first “on
the beach” project to be developed on Galveston’s East Beach
in more than 20 years. Its extensive list of amenities includes
a Larry North Fitness Center™, family and kids' pool areas, a
beach-style Luau fire pit, a secured Playscape™ Beachcomber
Kid’s Club and sandbox, a Tennis and Sports Court™ and many
more. The towers will offer direct access to the beach without
the need to cross traffic arteries. "We want to offer the
benefits of a vacation resort with the convenience of access to
city life," Anderson said.
