Reinhartsen Named Honorary
Chairman
of
Nature Center Fundraiser
Community
leader Jim Reinhartsen has been named
Honorary Chairman of Armand Bayou Nature
Center’s annual fundraiser “Bayou
Boil”. Reinhartsen is president of Bay
Area Houston Economic Partnership.
“Bayou
Boil” has been set for 6 p.m., May 7, on
the grounds of Armand Bayou Nature Center
(ABNC), a 2,500-acre wildlife refuge, at
8500 Bay Area Blvd., Pasadena (Bay Area
Houston).
“It
is a real honor and privilege to be part of
this event. Armand Bayou Nature Center is a
great contributor to our quality of life and
a major component of our economic
vitality,” says Reinhartsen.
Throughout
his life, Reinhartsen has championed
education. Environmental education and
preservation of its unique ecosystem is the
mission of ABNC. In memory of their
children, Reinhartsen and his wife Lee have
established a scholarship in agriculture and
learning and a scholarship through the
College of the Mainland Foundation.
The
“Bayou Boil” event will be an evening of
fun, great food, and fundraising under a
huge 60 x 120-foot tent supplied by One Stop
Party Shop. Boiled crawfish and fried
catfish and all the trimmings will be
served. A live auction and silent auction
will liven the night, closing with music and
dancing.
The
public is invited to support the nature
center through this event. Individual
tickets are $75. Tables of 8 to 10 may be
