Hallelujah!
The east-end theatre company (etc) presents
a madcap look at convent life with the
musical comedy, NUNSENSE. This
hilarious international hit has won four
Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best
Off-Broadway Musical and is the second
longest running musical in off-Broadway
history. And even if
you’ve seen it before, you do not want to
miss etc’s production of NUNSENSE.
etc
brings the Little Sisters of Hoboken to the
stage with an exemplary cast, dynamic
staging by director Kim Mytelka and exciting
choreography by Deb Maceo, all tied together
by the musical talents and direction of Deb
Lewis. Cast members are Sandra Raftis
as Reverend Mother Mary Regina; Robbie
Anderson as Sister Mary Hubert; Robin
Lusby-Schaefer as Sister Robert Anne; Patty
Talley as Sister Mary Amnesia; and Katie
Harrison as Sister Mary Leo.
The
five Little Sisters of Hoboken find
themselves having to raise money quickly due
to an unfortunate, yet hysterical situation.
The solution: an uproarious talent
show staged by the nuns themselves.
NUNSENSE is
the brain child (book, music, and lyrics)
of Dan Goggin, whose experiences in
parochial school left him with loving
memories of the nuns who taught him.
NUNSENSE
opens at etc on Friday, February 18th.
Performances are Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday evenings at 8:00pm and Sunday
