Feasting
Down on the Bayou
“Bayou
Boil”, the annual fundraiser for Armand
Bayou Nature Center, will be an evening of
fun, fundraising and feasting on catfish
dinners with all the trimmings from
Sudie’s Catfish and Seafood House. Brad
Bailey, owner of Sudie’s, (left) recently
gave an advance tasting to event co-chairmen
Christi Cheramie and John Collins (right).
Also
on the menu for the event will be boiled
crawfish from Seabrook Beach Club and hot
wings from Hooters-Seabrook.
The
event will be held at 6 p.m., May 7, at the
nature center grounds, 8500 Bay Area Blvd.
Music will be played by the popular local
duo of Mack and Bryan. Judges Louie Ditta
and Steve Phelps will lead a live auction
with help from honorary chairman Jim
Reinhartsen, president of Bay Area Houston
Economic Partnership.
A
silent auction with a wide variety of items
to bid on will also be held. All proceeds
will benefit operations at the 2,500-acre
Armand Bayou Nature Center wildlife refuge.
The center’s mission is environmental
education and preservation.
Tickets
for the event are $75 with tables of 8 and
10 available. For more information, call
