BEST Begins New Season

Ballet Ensemble of South Texas, formerly Houston International Ballet, has recently completed auditions for their second annual production of The Nutcracker.  Performances will be December 17 and 18 at 2:00 p.m. and December 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the theatre at CCISD’s new Clear View campus, formerly Webster Intermediate. 

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children.  A $2 discount per ticket is offered for groups of 20 or more.  To purchase tickets online go to www.HoustonInternationalBallet.org or phone (281) 332-6442.  The 30 member cast, under the direction of Arkadiy Orohovsky ranges in age from 7 years to adult.  Dancers from Atascosita Dance Center , Houston International Ballet Academy , and Kennedy Dance Center are participating in this year’s production.

BEST company members will also give an encore presentation of Peter and the Wolf at the South Shore Food and Wine Festival on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m.
