Officer Price Padgett 33, an 11 year veteran of the Galveston Police Department, turned himself in to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, in regards to a warrant of arrest for the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group II less than a gram To wit: Ecstasy. 

The warrant stemmed from the investigation into a one-vehicle accident, which occurred on January 01, 2005, in which Padgett was the driver.  Padgett was off-duty, and driving his privately owned vehicle at the time. 

An administrative investigation into the matter is ongoing.  Any administrative decision regarding Officer Padgett’s status with this agency will be made upon conclusion of the investigation.
