| To
Whom It May Concern:
At their
Board meeting on January 8, 2004, the
Board of Directors of the West Galveston
Property Owners Association voted to request
the Galveston City Council to support the
appeal of the Anchor Bay General Land Use
Plan and to vote to deny the Anchor Bay
plan.
This group's
support of the appeal is testimony to the fact
that the Anchor Bay development does not
conform with the City of Galveston's
Comprehensive Plan. Please see the attached
document provided by Bill Moll,
President of the Spanish
Grant Neighborhood Association.
Also attached
you will find an "issues
sheet" which details the
issues related to the Anchor Bay
Development's impact on neighboring
sub-divisions for your reference.
The manner in
which this development's negative
impacts on neighboring communities are either
addressed or ignored will set the tone
for future development on Galveston's west
end. The Galveston City
Council will be voting on the appeal Thursday,
January 13th. We urge the Daily
News to publish this information and
inform your readers of the issues at
hand.
If you have
any questions regarding these issues, please
contact: Jerry Mohn, President, West
Galveston Island Property Owners Association
409-737-5768 Bill Mohl, President,
Spanish Grant Subdivision 409-737-9701 or

to call me at the number below. Thank you in
advance for your attention to this matter.
