Citing
his experience in business, his leadership
skills, and his past service on the City
Council, League City businessman Jerry Shults
today announced the beginning of his Listening
Tour.
In
a letter to voters, he wrote,
“After serious thought and much
reflection, I have decided to run again for
Mayor of League City.
I am troubled about the current state
of the city’s affairs. More importantly, I
am deeply concerned about the direction of
League City’s future. “
Shults
went on to say, “ In
particular, recent events have convinced me
that the city is on the wrong track. As your
next Mayor, I will work with all of
City Council to stop the
political bickering that has derailed
city government. My vision
is that by working together, with your support
and input, League
City’s best days lay ahead.”
Gaining
valuable insight from his previous campaigns
for the Mayor’s chair, Shults plans to start
his 2005 campaign by listening. In preparation
for rolling out his Leadership Agenda for
League City, he plans to meet with citizens across
League City for their input on the challenges
that lay ahead.
The
first public stop on the Listening Tour will
be a Coffee with Jerry on Thursday, January 27th,
at 7:45a at Kelly’s restaurant, at 1502 W.
Main. For
