Here
is our response to Ms. Lacombe.
There
were two complaints filed in 2002
when Mr. Shults ran for Mayor. People who publicly
supported Mr. Shults’ opponent filed both.
Both
complaints were totally
and absolutely
politically motivated.
-
The The
first complaint was so clearly frivolous that the
Texas Ethics Commission dismissed it.
-
The
second complaint
charged that he had not filled out his campaign
reports in the proper manner. That was true.
Thankfully,
Mr. Shults learns from his mistakes. It is his ability
to admit mistakes and
learn
from them, to be open to new ideas and
ways of doing things, and delegate to
good
people that makes him an authentic leader and would make
him an effective
Mayor
for League City.
In
terms of his recent activities, he has been spending quality
time with his family, becoming more involved at Clear Creek
Community Church, and building his business from one location
with seven employees in 2002 to five locations and over thirty
employees today.
Warm
regards,
