The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards banquet today at 6:30 p.m. at the Stingaree Restaurant. Galveston County Judge Jim Yarbrough will act as master of ceremonies and Victor Emanuel will be the featured speaker. Awards will be presented to Citizen of the Year Joe Kaglik, Honorary Citizen of the Year Mary Lee Huffman, Business of the Year Eileen's Florist, owned by Eileen Hawkins, Educator of the Year Renee Brawner and Volunteer Fire Department-EMS Provider of the Year Phelan Land.
