Workers Memorial Day

The PACE Union in Texas City will hold a Workers Memorial Day service on Thursday, April 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the PACE Union Hall at 2327 Texas Ave.  

During the service, the union will present a $1000.00 scholarship to College of the Mainland earmarked for nursing students in thanks for the care and attention given to the victims of the recent plant explosion by area nurses and other staff.  

A blood mobile will also be present at the same location from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
