United States Representative Ted Poe will host a series of community information meetings throughout the Second Congressional District on Saturday.

"Poe will discuss a summary of the 109th Congress, legislation he has introduced to protect children, his founding of the Congressional Victims’ Rights Caucus, and other issues of interest to the district," said a news release.  "Congressman Poe and caseworkers from his staff will be available to answer questions and open any casework files necessary."

Poe will begin at the 1960 Area Ponderosa Volunteer Fire Station at 17061 Rolling Creek Drive in Houston from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

He will visit the Humble Civic Center at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.  

He will visit the Liberty County Courthouse between 12:30 and 1:30.

He will visit the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce offices in the Tower Building Community Room at 4749 Twin City Highway between 3:30 and 4:30.

Finally, Poe will visit the Lamar Institute of Technology Multi-purpose Center at 802 East Lavaca in Beaumont between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
