Harris
"Shrub" Kempner predicted a bright
future for Galveston Island in his speech to
the Rotary Club of Galveston Island on
Tuesday.
"I
believe that for the next several years
Galveston is well on its way to one of the
most productive and positive economic
pictures that it has faced in many, many
years," Kempner said. "I
believe that our permanent population will
begin to increase, if it hasn't already, and
all measures of business and education will
show strength."
Kempner
was introduced by Rotary Club President Ted
Deyo.
