There
was an official ribbon cutting at Galveston
College this afternoon for the new Health
Sciences Center and the new Learning
Resource Center at the Galveston College
Main Campus at 4015 Avenue Q.
“The
transformation of the College allows us to
respond quickly to the internal and external
challenges and think more imaginatively
about the future of Galveston College,”
said Galveston College President Dr. Elva
Concha LeBlanc.
Earlier,
at a news conference, Le Blanc said that the
Board of Regents is optimistic that the
changes will create a learning environment
which will add to the students’ success in
reaching their educational goals. Listen

The
new Health Sciences Center located on the
second floor of the Mary Moody Northen
Building was renovated to accommodate
offices and classrooms for Radiation
Therapy, Radiography, Nuclear Medicine
Technology, Breast Imaging/Mammography,
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Emergency
Medical Services and Surgical Technology
programs.
