Houston City Council Member Pam Holm tagged, or delayed for one week, consideration of an amendment to Mayor Bill White's Safe Clear Program, to reduce the amount wrecker operators would receive, from $75 to $50, and to eliminate the fee to towed motorists.

Several people addressed the council in opposition to the Safe Clear Program, including wrecker drivers and operators who were unable to obtain a contract to perform tows on a designated section of freeway.  Listen   Download
