Port Arthur City Council today voted unanimously to approve a contract with the Beaumont Community Housing Development Organization to facilitate the construction of ten new homes for low to moderate income persons and families on the west side.  Listen  Download

The city council voted 8-1, with Tom Henderson opposed, to award a three-year contract to Sandra Enterprise, Inc. of Port Arthur for landscape maintenance at the Spur 93 EDC Business Park.   Listen  Download

Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce President Verna Rutherford appeared before the city council with an offer to host a educational seminar on economic development, "to help the community to become more aware of policies and guidelines, and structural options for the economic development corporation."
