Sylvia Von Dohlen, 89, of Galveston, passed away Saturday,
November 12, 2005, at Gulf Health Care Center.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 12:00 noon on
Friday, November 18th, at Malloy & Son
Funeral Home. Funeral
service will be 1:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home
with Father John Bok, OFM, officiating.
Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic
Cemetery.
Sylvia was born June 20, 1916, in Cistern, Texas.
She attended St. Mary’s Nursing School,
graduating in 1939.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic
Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Von
Dohlen; and daughter, Antoinette McManus.
She is survived by her son-in-law, John McManus, of
Galveston; sisters, Mylada Snyder, of San Diego, CA;
and Mary Salazar, of Dahlonega, GA; brother, August
Malcik, of Ganado, TX; and grandchildren: MacKenzie
Carver and husband, Michael, of Galveston; and Scott
McManus, of Galveston.
