League City
is well
known for
dirty
politics.
During each
election
year it
seems the
stunts that
are pulled
continually
sink lower
and lower.
This year is
no
exception.
Enrique de
Leon has
taken
electioneering
to new lows,
even for
League
City.
Mr. de Leon
called the
Houston Fire
Department
and filed a
complaint
against my
husband
Thomas Cones
for a
picture
dressed in
his uniform
on his
website. We
are both
very proud
of his
occupation
and in my
opinion
nothing
could be
lower than
trying to
have my
husband
fired from
his
employment.
This kind of
action is
part of the
constant
intimidation
that
prevents
many people
from running
for office.
Mr. de Leon
attends the
same church
as we do and
they are
both members
of the
Knights of
Columbus.
How does Mr.
de Leon call
himself a
Christian?
His actions
are not
Christ like
at all.
Additionally
Mr. de
Leon’s
website
speaks of
his
commitment
to running a
clean
campaign.
He further
states that
he
represents
honesty and
integrity.
When Mr. de
Leon went
after my
husband’s
job, he
crossed the
line from
political
opponent to
vicious
politician
willing to
do anything
to win.
Please
reject the
heinous
actions of
Mr. de Leon
by
supporting
Thomas
Cones.
It is clear
that my
husband’s
opponents
are
desperate
and cannot
win on the
issues, so
they resort
to these
desperate
measures,
grasping at
straws in an
effort to
win at any
cost.
