Bill of Rights Day – December 15th

by Bob Smither
November 11, 2006

This December 15th marks the 215th anniversary of the ratification of the first 10 amendments to our Constitution – the Bill of Rights.

Imagine living in a country without the rights that we enjoy, a country where you could be arrested without being charged, tried without a jury, you had no freedom of religion, your home could be ransacked by the police, and you could be denied the right of self-defense.

The Harris County Libertarian Party invites everyone to observe Bill of Rights Day this Friday, December 15th, at Ninfa's Restaurant, 8553 Gulf Freeway (Monroe Exit), at 7PM. A fajita buffet dinner is available for $20.00 at the door. The Bill of Rights will be read and its continued importance to us today will be discussed.

Please RSVP to Crystal Meadows at 832-922-5858 and plan to join us this Friday.
