Dear Friends:

I wanted to thank you for the efforts you made on my behalf. Although we were not victorious, it was not due to any lack of effort, or time, or money from our supporters. Janet and I are proud of what we were able to accomplish and will be forever grateful to you for taking the time from your busy lives to support my run for County Commissioner of Precinct Two.

I offer my sincere congratulations to County Commissioner-Elect Bryan Lamb. Mr. Lamb ran a positive issue oriented campaign and worked hard to gain the chance to serve the people of Precinct Two.

I also want to thank my campaign team, who worked well into the night and on weekends to knock on doors, put up signs, and make phone calls in an effort to help get our message out.

I know that you all share the disappointment that Janet and I feel, but I am seasoned enough to know that you should never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat.

The time for politics is over and the time to focus on doing the people's business is upon us, so I'll be continuing to fight for lower taxes and high quality service from my position as your Galveston County Navigation District One Commissioner.
