Baldomero Coronado Alcocer (Noni) (El Indio)

Our Father Baldomero Coronado Alcocer (Noni) (El Indio) has gone to reunite with his parents Baldomero Alcocer and Josefa Coronado Alcocer. Also joining the reunion will be his sister Elvira Alcocer Castillo and Noni's brothers Praxedis, Roberto, Jose, Sostenes, and Daniel Alcocer. Also his daughter Josefina Alcocer and son Juan Francisco Alcocer.

Noni was born in Villa De La Paz, San Luis Potosi on August 28Th, 1927. At the tender age of eight Noni was hard at work as a baker. He would also make bread deliveries on his bike with a basket of bread a top his head. Noni immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and worked for various dredging companies, finalizing his career as a foreman at Bredero Price pipeline company. The past 13 years Noni dedicated  his life to serving the Lord as a volunteer at Reyna De La Paz Catholic Church. He enjoyed escorting churchgoers to and from church and running errands for the priest. His dedication to the nurturing of his wife, kids, grand kids, family, and friends was admirable. He loved giving and helping everyone in need.

Noni leaves behind many extraordinary memories with his wife of 39 years, Manuela Betancourt Alcocer, his daughter Maria F. Robles/ Flores and spouse Jehu Flores Mendoza, his son Willie Alcocer and spouse Evelia Mendez Alcocer, all of Galveston. Also, his son Alex Alcocer and fiancee Amy Spethman of San Diego, CA. His grandchildren Edgar, Sergio, Vanessa, and Monica Robles and Vincent Alcocer. Great grandchildren Alejis Brianna Robles, Joseph Lee Crockett, Jr. and Arianna Gabrielle Robles. Numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, great nieces, and nephews.
Pall Bearers will be Jehu Flores, Marcos Betancourt, Edgar Robles, Sergio Robles, Tony Alcocer, Dax Billy De Los Santos and Joseph Lee Crockett Sr.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation Thursday, November 16, 2006 after 5:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services and last goodbyes will be Friday, November 17th, commencing at 9:00 am at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas. Mass will follow at 10:00 am at Reyna De La Paz Catholic Church located at 706 51st ST, Galveston, TX with burial following at Calvary Cemetery at 2506 65th ST, Galveston, TX.
