Ethel M. Alexander

Ethel M. (Aunt Ethel) (Queen) Alexander, 94, departed this life Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at Harbour View Care Center in League City.

Mrs. Alexander was born December 27, 1911, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Orelia and Lee Alexander. She lived in Galveston County for 63 years. She was a retired domestic worker in Galveston.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Laura Boulet; brothers, Wilfred, Rodney and Lee Alexander; nephews, Willie, Tom, James, and Walter Boulet; niece, Esterina Carroll.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving family, a devoted daughter, Mary E. Thornton (son in law, Albert); devoted granddaughter, Nakia D.(Nikki) Thornton; adorable great granddaughter, Carrington E. Julian; step-granddaughter, Ann Jenkins; step grandson, LaShawn Gentry; nieces, Orelia Andrews (Houston), Louise Richmond (Felton), Mildred Simpson (Jewel) and Mary  Jo Ann Solomon (Goddaughter); nephew, Leroy John Boulet (Betty);devoted great niece, Sharon  Ann Antoine; great great  great great great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and dedicated friends.

Funeral mass will be held at 11.00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father John Bok, Celebrant, Texas. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, December 8, 2006, from 4.-8:00 p.m. at E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary.

The family would like to thank the American Hospice Care Team, Dr. Robin Armstrong, and Dr. Prince, the ICU nursing staff at Cornerstone Hospital and Mainland Medical Center for their loving care.
