Mrs. Effie Baldwin, 77, received eternal rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at UTMB Hospital.

Mrs. Effie was born September 1, 1929, in West Columbia, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. P. Jones. She was homemaker, mother and a very special grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years, Johnnie Baldwin; son, Ronnie Baldwin; sister, Alma Thompson; brothers, William Jones and Rev. Johnnie Hobbs.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Baldwin (Dee Ward); stepson, J. L. Baldwin; sister, Annie B. Smith, twin sister, Neffie Moreno; 7 grandchildren,7 great grandchildren; devoted niece, Nancy Lee Mott and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her Macedonia Church family.

Special thanks to the staffs of UTMB ER, Turner's and 10-A Towers.  

Viewing will begin at 4PM on Monday, November, 27th followed by a wake from 7-8PM at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. A. W. Colbert, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
