Lee DeForke, Sr., 65, of Galveston passed
away, Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Seabreeze
Nursing Home in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am
Thursday, June 1 2006 at Carnes Brothers
Funeral Home of Galveston with Father John
Bok, O.F.M. officiating. Graveside services
will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in
Galveston. The family will greet guests from
5:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 31 2006 at
the funeral home.
Lee was born July 23, 1940 in Houston, Texas
to Mike and Anna Noto De Forke. He retired
from the Iron Workers Local Union #135 as a
Journeyman. He loved to fish, go bowling,
dance, loved all kinds of music and he lived
life to the fullest and lived it his way.
Everyone who knew him called him Uncle Lee.
Preceded in death by his father Lee is
survived by his mother, Anna Noto Burns;
son, Lee DeForke, Jr., granddaughter,
Jennifer Lea DeForke and former wife,
Virginia L. DeForke; sister, Bennie
Caballero; uncle, Pete Dominic Noto and
aunt, Josie Incaprera; step-sisters, Sheila,
Jane and Rose DeForke and half-brothers,
Robert and Mike DeForke; numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee DeForke, Jr., Mike
Malmstrom, Sr., Robert Malmstrom, II, Larry
Perez, II, Jerry Wylie and Tony Sanchez.
The family gives special thanks to AMED
Hospice for their devoted care for Lee; also
Seabreeze Nursing Home Staff and Dr. M.
Martinez and Dr. L. Grumble of UTMB, case
workers, Katy, Ramona and Rose.
