Frank M. Garcia

Mr. Frank M. Garcia passed from this life Saturday, October 21, 2006, at his home.

Born October 4, 1913 in Bastrop, Mr. Garcia had been a resident of Santa Fe for 15 years, previously of LaMarque.  He had worked at the Tin Smelter for 20 years, had worked as an operator at Union Carbide and later on at Santa Fe Concrete Products. Frank was a member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, avid Astros Fan and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Trindy and Monica (Maldonado) Garcia, survivors include his wife, Carmen of Santa Fe; daughters and their spouses, Virginia Garcia of Galveston, Mary Jane and David Wasson of Houston, Beatrice and Travis Glover of Wells, Theresa and Mike Villaneuva of Santa Fe; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2004, at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church with Father Paul Felix as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be David Wasson, Mike Villanueva, Juan Pena, Travis Glover, Andrew Rodriguez and Tray Glover.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with a Rosary and Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
