Mr. Garry Don Gardner passed from this life Tuesday, December 5, 2006, in Texas City.

Born March 11, 1951 in Antlers, Oklahoma, Mr. Gardner had been a resident of Santa Fe for most of his life. He had been employed as a welder, served in the US Air Force, was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening vegetables.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Erric Gardner and is survived by his son, Donald Joe Gardner and wife, Gabriel of Washington; grandchildren, Loran Gabriel Gardner, Ryan Austin Gardner; mother, Sue Gardner of Santa Fe; brother, Joe Edward Gardner of Santa Fe.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2006, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Smith officiating.
