Jane LaVerne Grotmat, 91, passed away, Friday, November 24, 2006 at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the funeral home.

Jane was born March 27, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Agnes Boughey Grotemat. She was a teacher of Physical Education in the Galveston Independent School District, retiring after many years of dedicated service. She was of the Catholic Faith.

She leaves behind many students and friends.
