Billy Lee Hopper, died October 16^th, 2006.

Born on January 3^rd, 1933 in Whitewright, TX, Billy relocated his family to Port Bolivar, TX in 1974. He was born into an entrepreneur farming family and continued this business until 1970. He then ceased the farming of land and began a life on the Gulf Coast in farming the ocean.  Bill Hopper loved life and was truly an innovative and creative person, loved by everyone his path would cross.  He could discuss any subject someone was willing to explore with vigor and high intellect.  He will greatly be missed.

Surviving are his wife Peggy Mae Hopper, two sons Bennie Hopper and David Hopper; and seven grandchildren, Danny Hopper, Jessie Mc Crorcy , Shannon Hopper, Alexandria Hopper, Hannah Hopper and Kaitlyn Hopper all of Texas.

For all family members and friends, there will be a reception and tribute presentation in Billy Lee Hopper's honor at Hilton Galveston Island Resort, 5400 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, TX, Tel 409-744-5000, on October 28th from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The reception begins at 1:00 pm and the tribute presentation starts at 3:30 pm.  Refreshments and appetizers will be served. 

The family requests all flowers or donations be given to a charitable organization of each person’s choice.
