Cora Loriene Kidd

Loriene Kidd, a resident of Fannett, who was born October 5, 1922 in Madill, Oklahoma to the late Francis Clyde Bateman and Hannah Etta Harrison, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Calder Woods in Beaumont at the age of 84. She was the last surviving family member. Mrs. Kidd married Jesse Ray Kidd on August 27, 1940 in Shay, Oklahoma and moved to Borger, Texas in 1944, then to Orange, Texas in 1960. In 1985, they moved to Fannett where they spent their retirement years. Her lifetime love was God and her family. She was a stay at home mom, and enjoyed baking, sewing, and various kinds of needlework.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kidd will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Billy Ray Robertson, and Tom Hicklin officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 6 PM Saturday at the mortuary.

Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Jesse Ray Kidd. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Vaughn and her husband, Michael of LaBelle; two sons, Joe Kidd and his wife Linda of Fannett, and Billy Kidd and his wife Carolyn of Destin, Florida; seven grandchildren, Phillip Kidd, Stephen Kidd and his wife Nathalie, Michelle Ballard and her husband Tim, Stephanie D’Angelo and her husband Tom, Michael Vaughn, Nicole Vaughn, and Chelle Blanchard and her husband Chad; eight great grandchildren, Stephen Ballard, Blake Kidd, Morgan Kidd, Hannah Kidd, John D’Angelo, Lauren D’Angelo, Beau Blanchard, and Katie Blanchard.
