Thomas H. Moore, 63, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at his residence in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bert Bagley officiating. Graveside services will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, December 15, 2006 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas.

Tom was born May 15, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to James T. and Marcella Schorle Moore. He attended Memphis State University and Law School earning his juris doctorate. He retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers after 37 years as District Council in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Galveston, Texas. He was dedicated to his family and placed their welfare above all.

Preceded in death by his parents, Tom is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Moore of Galveston; son, Sean Moore of Galveston; sister, Kathleen McMurrin of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brother, James R. Moore and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Dan Keys, Clark Bartee, Ed Herrington, Richard Harrison, Alex Petty and Tom Benero. Honorary pallbearers are Hector Vela and Robert Miller.
