Doris Elaine Niccolai, 87, loved Jesus
as her Lord and Savior and went to be
with Him on Thursday, October 26, 2006.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am,
Tuesday, October 31st, at
Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bo
Wheaton officiating. Burial will follow
the service at Mt. Olivet Catholic
Cemetery in Dickinson.
The family will receive visitors after
5:00 pm, Monday, October 30th,
at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Doris was born January 3, 1919, in
Empire, Georgia. She graduated from
Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and then
served in the U.S. Navy Waves during
World War II. Doris also received a
bachelor’s degree from the University of
Texas at Austin. She met and married
the love of her life, Robert Niccolai,
and together they ran N&N Grocery in
Houston.
Doris’s life was about giving. She
never met a stranger, and she leaves a
legacy of integrity, love, and
compassion that touched many, many
lives.
Doris was preceded in death by her
parents, Edward and Lila Mae Price; her
husband, Robert Niccolai; and eleven
siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda
Risinger and husband, James, of Lufkin,
TX; sister, Jean Wilson and husband,
Richard, of Eastman, Georgia;
granddaughters, Shana Shim and husband,
Pete, of Houston; and Amy Risinger
Gonzalez, of Galveston; great
grandchildren: Lanie and Connor Shim;
Priscilla and Christopher Gonzalez; and
Darrel Singleton, III; and many other
much loved family and friends.
