Mrs. Yvonne Oten, 67, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2006, Thanksgiving Day at 8:36 p.m.  She was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans.

Mrs. Oten was born to the late James and Sadie Oten.  Preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lanna Ann Athanase; her husband and the father of her children, Eddie Athanase; former husband, Wilbert Lodrig; her brothers, Warren James Oten and Rufus Jenkins, she leaves to mourn her loss, her son, Lutrelle Oten; granddaughter, Nya Marie Athanase; sisters, Ella Mae Rhea; Ionn C. Oten; Louise Moore and brother, John Oten.  Also mourning her loss are her nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.  She will be sadly missed by all.

Mrs. Oten was a former employee of Magiola School in New Orleans, a Home Health Care Nurse and a sitter at various hospitals in New Orleans.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at St. James A.M.E. Church, 2900 Avenue H, in Dickinson.  Reverend Erwin Hodge will officiate.
