Mr. Kenneth M. Platzer passed from this life Saturday evening, December 23, 2006, in Webster.

Born July 28, 1944, Kenneth had been a resident of Alvin since 1982, previously of League City.  He had worked at Goodyear Tires in Alvin for 15 years, was of the Baptist faith, served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5237.

Preceded in death by his parents, W. B. and Tessabell Platzer and brother, Robert James Platzer, survivors include his wife, Sybil of Alvin; step son, Louie Dickerson and wife, Janet of Alvin; brother, W. B. “Bill” Platzer, Jr., and wife, Fran of San Antonio; grandson, Joshua Louis Dickerson and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Pastor Alan Splawn officiating. 

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
