Rosemary Tisino Potts, 56, passed away
on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at her
residence surrounded by her loved ones.
A native of Galveston, she was a
graduate of Central High School in 1968,
she later joined the U. S. Marine Corp
and was honorable discharged, she also
attended Galveston College. She was
formerly employed at Todd Shipyard,
Turners Geriatric Center and was
employed with GISD for the past nine
years until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Cary and Emma Tisino; husband
W. A. Potts, three nieces and three
nephews. She is survived by her
daughter, Charmell Potts; grandchildren,
Davion Potts, Kei'Anna Potts all of
Galveston; sisters, Mary Ford (Allen) of
Houston, Ina Denton, Amelia McGill,
Dianne Tisino, Gloria Tisino all of
Galveston; two godchildren, Timothy
Denton and Terrance Denton. Rose had
numerous, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
Viewing will begin at 4PM on Friday,
October 20th followed by a wake from
7-8PM at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM
on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the
Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father
Paul Banet, SSJ, officiating. Burial
will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
