Lucille Johnson “Miss Lou” Scarbrough

Ms. Lucille Johnson “Miss Lou” Scarbrough passed from this life Sunday, December 3, 2006 in League City.

Born February 7, 1913 in Dallas, Ms. Scarbrough had been a resident of Bacliff for over 70 years, previously of Galveston.  She had worked at various restaurants in Kemah area as a cook, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3199 in Bacliff and enjoyed sewing, upholstery, cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by son, Sonny Johnson; parents, Jay Benjamin and Maggie  (Eslick) Johnson and brothers, Ted Johnson, Harry Johnson and Jack Johnson.

Survivors include her daughter, Cherie L. Rardin of Seabrook; sister, Doris Karbowski of Dangerfield; grandchildren, Cheryl Roxanne McCreight, Joe Rardin, Jr., Diana Johnson, Deborah Ann Howard, Dale Johnson, Sheila Prisco, Tommy Miles; 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Ware officiating.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Timothy McCreight, Blake Prisco, Bryan Prisco and Cory Rardin.
