Mrs.
Emma Marie Vykukal passed from this
life Saturday evening, November 18,
2006, at home surrounded by her
family.
Born November 24, 1931 in White Oak,
Ohio, Mrs. Vykukal had been a
resident of Algoa since 1979,
previously of Hitchcock and
Houston. She had been employed as a
Receiving Manager for Gibson’s,
Woolco and Wal-Mart for many years,
had worked at the First Presbyterian
Church in Galveston for 8 years and
recently helped manage MTS Tool Co.
with her son. She was a member of
Aldersgate United Methodist Church,
volunteered at Barbara’s House,
Algoa Volunteer Fire Department and
was always taking care of others.
She was preceded in death by her
beloved husband, Henry John
Vykukal, Sr.; parents, Hargis
and Georgia Estelle (Cummings)
Wagner; brother, Alan Wagner.
Survivors include her sons,
Henry John Vykukal, Jr. and
wife, Carol of League City, Paul
Vykukal and wife, Pam of Inman,
SC; daughters, Kay Winwood and
husband, Albert, Brenda Slawson
and husband, Jay all of Santa
Fe; 13 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; brother,
Paul Wagner; sister, Doris Cash
both of West Columbia.
Funeral services will be
conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,
November 22, 2006, in the chapel
of Hayes Funeral Home with Dr.
J. Keith Broyles officiating.
Interment will follow at Grace
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mark Hallows,
Jeremy Sartain, Brandon Slawson,
Clint Slawson, Cory Smith and Clint
Winwood.
