Letter to the Editor

October 9, 2006

The Challenger for the 212th district court is a criminal defense attorney. He defends people who are accused of committing crimes against society. His goal is to get them freedom or probation regardless of their guilt or innocence. He gets paid to send them back into society as soon as possible without regard for what future criminal acts they may commit.

On the other side of the spectrum, his opponent, incumbent Judge Susan Criss, has made a lifelong career of removing criminals from free society as an assistant District Attorney for ten years. As the District Judge, Susan Criss has continued to protect us by being hard on convicted criminals.

The League City Police Officers Association, along with Police Officer Associations in three other major cities in this county, have endorsed the re-election of Judge Susan Criss. If you want further evidence regarding which candidate is best for this position, ask your local League City Police Officer why he endorsed Judge Criss.

Judge Criss was also endorsed by the Bay Area Bar Association. Three out of four attorneys who practice law in Galveston County prefer Judge Susan Criss on the bench over her opponent, shouldn’t you?
