(League City)
– In a strong sign of growing
momentum, Albert Choate added State
Representatives Larry Taylor and Robert
Talton to the growing list of conservative
political leaders endorsing him for County
Commissioner.
State Representative Larry
Taylor, R-Friendswood, represents the
northern part of Galveston County including
the Santa Fe, Dickinson, and League City
areas of Precinct Two. |
|
Taylor said, “As a coastal
county with a large UTMB and Texas A & M
presence, Galveston County needs a proven
leader who can work with the Legislature on
key issues like hurricane preparedness,
windstorm insurance for coastal areas, and
mobility for new roads in the fast growing
League City/Dickinson area. Experience
matters in dealing with the Legislature;
based on his experience, qualifications, and
conservative philosophy Albert Choate is the
best choice for County Commissioner.” |
 |
State Representative Robert
Talton, R-Pasadena, is Chairman of the
powerful Urban Affairs committee in the
Legislature. Urban Affairs deals with all
proposed legislation affecting county
governments. Talton said, “We deal with
County Judges and County Commissioners all
over the state. I like knowing that the
elected officials we deal with share my
commitment to conservative principles,
support the 3% appraisal cap, and are
committed to protecting taxpayers from
unfunded state mandates. Albert Choate is
the clear choice for the voters in Precinct
Two.” |
|
Choate thanked both public
officials for their endorsements and added,
“I am encouraged by their faith in my
ability to represent the taxpayers with
integrity and I promise the voters that, if
elected, I will be a conservative leader
they can trust.” |
