(League
City) – In a sign of the growing strength of
the Choate campaign on the mainland, three
prominent Precinct Two elected officials,
League City Mayor Jerry Shults, Dickinson
Mayor Julie Masters, and Bayou Vista Mayor
William “Bill” Jackson endorsed Choate for
County Commissioner.
Mayor
Shults said, “League City is the largest and
fastest growing city in Galveston County. We
rely on our partnership with the county to
get critical infrastructure needs met to
keep up with our pace of growth. We have
mobility projects on the books that we want
to continue to be prioritized and supported
by the county like the projects to widen FM
646 and to create an overpass at IH 45 and
SH 96 among others. We also need a County
Commissioner committed to lowering the tax
rate by attracting and encouraging high
quality commercial development in the West
League City area. Albert Choate has
the vision, the integrity and the experience
to help move League City forward; he is the
clear choice for County Commissioner.”
In
addition, Mayors Shults and the League City
Host Committee are hosting a reception for
Albert in the Magnolia Creek subdivision in
League City. The reception is on Thursday,
October 26th from 7p – 8:30p at the
residence of Larry and Debbie Blackman at
5317 Springbrook Ct. The public is invited.
Choate welcomed the endorsements and added,
“I believe that you can tell a lot about a
person by the company they keep. I am
pleased to have earned the support of these
proven conservative leaders that the
citizens know and trust.”
