The Clear Creek Independent School District is seeking community members to participate in its program, Interested Neighbors Staying Informed on District Efforts, otherwise known as INSIDE CCISD. This is the third year the district is offering this unique program to its citizens.  

INSIDE CCISD is an in-depth six-month leadership program with monthly, two-hour sessions that begins on January 30. This behind-the-scenes, discovery program provides community members who live or work in Clear Creek ISD the opportunity to learn first-hand how the district is addressing the challenges of a rapidly growing school district. Tours, demonstrations and school bus rides are just part of the whole experience.

David Braun, an aerospace coordinator with the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and a Nassau Bay City Councilman, participated in the INSIDE CCISD program in 2006. He shared that INSIDE CCISD helped him to see the “nuts and bolts” of how Clear Creek ISD operates.

 “I feel that INSIDE allowed me to become more knowledgeable in regards to my own children’s education,” said Mary Van Baalen, INSIDE CCISD graduate. “The program also has enabled me to better participate in conversations about the district with others.”

Each monthly session addresses a different area of the district’s operations. The first meeting will be an opportunity to meet fellow team members and key administrators. 

“INSIDE offered me the opportunity to meet and learn from district leadership,” said Michelle Brookover, PTA president at Clear Lake City Elementary and INSIDE CCISD graduate. “From a tour of the new construction at Clear Springs High School, to a workshop on how school boards work, INSIDE invited us to discover how this award-winning school district successfully educates the leaders of tomorrow.”
