Marilyn "Ni Ni" Jules, 58, departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2007, at UTMB.

Marilyn was born November 22, 1948, In Lafayette, LA to Johnny, Jr. and Joyce August. A longtime resident of Galveston, she was a merchant marine.

She was preceded in death by her parents and devoted friend, John Bottin. Marilyn is survived by her son, Leon L. Jules, Jr., devoted stepson, Leon J. Jules; daughters, Michelle Jones (Patrick) and Cheryl Leroy; grandchildren, Anthony, Patrice and Patrick Jones, Jr., Leon Jules III, Cassandra Remaly and Faberona Leroy; brother, Larry August (Sharon); sisters, Judy August (John), Patricia Williams, Kathy August (John), Delores Reed (Sylvester) and Christine August (Nate); life long devoted friend, Leon L. Jules, Sr.; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary, with Rev. Michael Dwyer, officiating.
